During the last couple of years we have had many adventures on the Rock. I started living on the rock
in September 2010. It has been awesome to live so close to nature!
There have been many repairs and much equipment added in the last 2 years. The cockpit has been totally replaced. The transom rail has been rebuilt with davits and a radar arch added. We now have a table that our outdoor stove/oven will set on and will cover our generator too. A lock down cover for our dive compressor will be added in July.
It has been raining so much here that I've had no opportunity to do the needed paint/bright work. The cabin sole needs resealed as it is leaking and accepting a lot of rain water into the boat. I have to seal a couple of windows as well so it would be nice to have more than a day and a half of sunshine.
Here are some of the photos of the last couple of years as well as the repair work being completed.

April brought the weather we usually get in march we've had plenty of storms well over 40 knots gusting in the 60s. Charlie and I took these opportunities to go out and see how the rock handles in rough weather.
I am very pleased at how well balance the rock has proven to be. She is a well-found boat indeed. She handles nicely and at no time did she give us any cause for concern.

April brings the Grey whales to our waters from Mexico on their migration back to Alaska. Charlie and I were out for a sail and we came across a pod of whales. We were sailing with them for about a half hour. It was so cool just moving with the wind and the whales! No motor sound just the wind the waves from the Rock and the blow of the whales!

04/21/2010, ONAMAC REEF
March, what a great month of sailing and diving we had! We left Oak Harbor and motored down the Saratoga Passage to ONAMAC reef just off of Camano Island.
It was a beautiful sunny day, a great day to see the reef! I had a short dive of about 30 min. Lots of sea life. Ling cod, rock fish, starfish, and octopus as well as a plethora of other species inhabit the reef. It was an awesome site to see the Rock from under water for the first time!
Getting back to the Rock was a little swim but all was well. After loading up into the boat again we weighed anchor and set our sails for home. We sailed north on a beam reach as the wind was from the west.
As it happens the wind shifted and came straight off our bow and became light and variable. We decided to drop sails and motor back home. We made port just as the street lights came on! Just in time for my curfew when I was a kid. LOL
It was a great Northwest day and once again we only saw one other boat all day. He happened to be diving off his sailboat too. ( He came in as we were leaving) Fun was had by all.

Duane , Charlie and good friend Don cruising by Polnell point. We don't have the sails up as there is no wind today. The weather is rainy and a cool 45 degrees but we are nice and warm in the pilot house with the heat on! We're the only ones on the water. Winter is a great time to cruise no crowd no boat wakes just good cruising.
Charlie is preparing a pork stew and the smell permeates the boat. We where able to eat this fantastic meal unmolested by wakes of boats that would normally be in transit to Deception Pass in route to the San Jan Islands.
