While we were traveling on the train we were talking about seeing a show and on the ticket folder there was a coupon for a Broadway show called Mama Mia. I had seen the movie and liked it and Lisa loves it so we decided to go to it. We had booked a hotel right on 52cnd street and Broadway in Time square. As it turned out the show was the next building over from out hotel. On the same corner. Too cool. We saw the show and had a great time.

We rode the subway to ground zero and I can't tell you the emotion that came to me to be there. I can say that the design of the memorial is one of the most thoughtful and grounding memorials I have been to. Very very appropriate. I'm having a hard time describing the reality and the fullness of my experience so I'll leave it there.

We visited the Hard Rock Cafe while we were there as well as the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Brooklyn bridge all by boat and we never had the opportunity to go a shore. The Statue of Liberty was closed due to serious damage caused the Hurricane that came through New York. We had a great time in New York and will have to come and visit it again.
