Finishing refit work

Here you see a pic of WM in the cradle. We hauled her out for a 'quickie (scrub and dunk) and decided to redo her antifouling, paint the boot topping and polish the sides, so she stayed ashore for a couple of extra days. It was soooooooooo worth it. We both feel a lot happier for doing the work. She is back in her slip and we are due to head out tomorrow, all being well.

Well, we have completed tons of work to Wight Mistress and on Monday 2 June we are off to work her up along the south coast for a few days. Barbara has an appointment with the gynaecologist on Friday and a few days with our elder daughter Sarah over the weekend. After that, we will be mostly under way for the summer, depending on B's medical requirements.
Hoping to upload a pic of Wight Mistress but have had some problems with the blog
Will write again soon

Hi Folks,
Sorry for the delay in updating, we have not had a lot to report since the beginning of March. Anyway, the latest is that Barbara has been on medication from the doctors since the beginning of March and the latest visit to the doctor has now affirmed her need to see the gynaecologist. We now await an appointment.
In this time we have been living between our lovely cottage and Wight Mistress and doing all sorts of refit work to the boat. Last week saw WM hauled out on the Wednesday for a 'quickie' (out, scrub off and back in again) which extended to the Friday for us to re-do the antifouling and give her a good looking at. We managed to do the antifoul, boot topping and give the hull above water a good scrub and polish as well. In addition we were able to treat the rubbing strake more easily, so she is nice and clean now.
Our plan, doctors permitting, is to take WM away westward to Yarmouth, Weymouth, Plymouth, Falmouth, Scillies and on to Cork, then back this way via the Channel Islands and thhe French coast.
Pic of WM attached. The sad thing is that we have not had the opportunity to work on Sharkie yet, but we aim to do some to her too. Sharkie is on loan to the Gosport Sea Cadets but her engine is not happy.
Anyway, sorry again for not updating this in a while, we hope to do better in the future.
