Worried Republicans Stocking Up on Gold Coins

Now there is a real piece of foolishness if ever there was one. Like the Federal Reserve Note is going straight down the toilet. Such bunny rabbits. In truth, investing in gold is highly speculative and risky. It is easy to lose your bunny butt. The fundamentals are never clear. Belief that gold is going to be the medium of exchange is sheer folly. There are many safer investments. But, hey, it sends a bunny statement. How many Krugerrands do you have?

Barack Obama's re-election has sent demand for gold coins soaring: "The US Mint's sales of American Eagles, one of the most popular gold coins, leapt 131 per cent in November, hitting their highest level in more than two years." Bunnies are starting to hoard. Waiting for the big collapse under Obama so their gold coins will shoot through the roof.

These bunny butted Republicans never were at the top of their economic game. They can pander well to the rich, but making actual money is something else entirely. In fact several studies show the economy does better under Democratic presidents than Republican ones. They are not getting that correctly either.

Extra:
Although I was a lawyer and practiced law with good success for thirty years, creating significant new law, I never really believed in the law, the politics of law or in the over reaching self-interest of most lawyers I met. Too much exposure to Nietzsche and other good and seriously thoughtful [...]
