Stopping at Unst, UK's most northerly inhabited island, was excellent. We met several nice, fun people and one policeman who didn't think we should be taking photos of the Great Skuas. A "listed bird" he said. "Not to be bothered" he said. Threatened to haul us away, he did. We and our local guide, Tony, had a great laugh over it. Tony was shouting mad after the fact. Now, we finally have a decent weather window to sail across to Norway. I use the work sail loosely as we are currently motoring into a two meter, left over swell from this last weeks wind. This is preferable to the bashing and crashing we tried to do the other day. The Irisih (ICC) boat, Pure Magic, that left when we tried to sent word back that they had a nasty trip and we made the right decision to wait. I think so too but now we are a little behind and will have to push hard for Bodo, Norway. spare parts are waiting for us there. The long range outlook for further up the coast is not that good so I am afraid we won't make it all in one offshore leg. Likely we will have to pull into one of the many entrances to the fjords and work our way up the inside passages. This time tomorrow we should know where in Norway we will land. These oil rigs, all around us now, are amazing! Huge! Look for photos when I can get to the internet.
