Day 5 - Eat, Sleep, Sail, repeat.
21 July 2012 | 1579 miles to Hawaii
Ken
WOW!! This is why I signed up for this race!!! Sunny and warm, sailing in shorts and a t-shirt with lots of sun block. We have finally broken free of the grey skies and fluky wind and are sailing strait to Hawaii with our spinnaker up, the wind at our back and the warm sun shinning on our faces. I feel I should have to pay for this much fun! We are finally making good time towards Hawaii, covering over 150 miles on Friday and anticipating over 180 miles today.
The 1/2 way point is 1035 miles so we should reach that on Tuesday, July 24 early afternoon. ETA in Hawaii is the following Tuesday, 31 of July....hopefully. This is defiantly about the journey and not the destination and so far the journey has been a blast. Time for a nap before I sail again. KV
