What day is today? We are in the final push to the finish. We are neck and neck with 2 other boats for 2nd place and it is too close to call right now. The difference between finishing 2nd, 3rd or 4th will keep us talking about the race for years to come, I hope we are able to look back and talk about the right tactical decisions we made the final days that secured 2nd or even 3rd place for us and not the ones that caused us to finish off the podium and in 4th place. Today is hot and sunny with a good breeze pushing us along at a steady 8 knots. It is almost too hot and sunny to be outside, the only relief is to come down below like I am now to be in the shade with a cool breeze flowing through the cabin. It's too early to start organizing and packing my gear and clothes, I will sort through the dirty stuff tomorrow and decide if anything is a Bio Hazard and should be disposed of before we get to close to shore or if a few washing with scalding hot water and bleach will eventually remove the stench and the stains.
