Another snag on the prop

As you can see from the kelp cam photo, we snagged another rope/net on the prop. Vince cleared it by turning the prop shaft by hand, then a big turn on the rudder to clear it there. We're definitely in the garbage patch, as some generally small piece of trash will float by every other boat length - that's right, about every 100 feet! We now better positioned to keep a lookout, at least during the day, but there's really not much we can do about the stuff like the lines/nets that float just below he surface.
We just turned on iTunes for the first music of the trip. Dad's videoing Vince on the poop deck doing a jig of sorts to some random Buffet song. Those on the 2010 race won't be surprised by Vince's antics...
It's been a bit slower today in general, but we're doing 5.5-6.0 knots currently in 7ish knots of wind. The routing software is going haywire after the last GRIB file update, but we're sticking to our plan of motoring NE up through the high when the wind runs out. The problem that's showing in the GRIBs is a lack of wind off the coast of CA, but that's a long way off so we're dealing with what we have at the moment.
