Well, we kind of knew before we left that this wasn't going to be a typical turn-right-at-the-high kind of BacCup, and it's turning out that way. You might have noticed a 20mile port tack this morning: just trying to gather some data on angles and take advantage of the left-most wind we hope to see until we get to the SE of the high. We're about to close out 5 days of beating to weather in 16-20 kts with some gusts in the mid 20's. Double reefed main and #3 jib have been the ticket. I'm not promising the fellas any break for another 100 miles or so, when we should see some easing of windspeeds and wringing of hands on how to get across the bottom of the high.

It was double meat on the breakfast tacos this morning as our egg-meat ratio is somewhat unbalanced. We missed landing a bigger mahi this morning due to a tangle with the 2nd fishing line. While we'd have welcomed it, we have our sights set on a tuna species as our next catch.
