Woohoo - 1/2 Way Party Time!

17 July 2016 | 31 55'N:141 10'W, 1035 mile line
Kim
We crossed the half way point! I wish the Party Planner had been abit more up on things. Good thing she doesn't get paid a lot of money! Nonetheless, 5 of 6 of us were up at the actual 1/2 way point, Vince slept threw it as he was off watch and I didn't have the heart to make any more noise (I was full on cooking dinner banging pots and pans over his head!) to actually wake him up! When you don't wake up with all the noise and stuff going on on this boat, you really need the sleep.

We had the "behind by one day" meal of Chicken Pot Pie as decided by the Skipper. We will have the "real" 1/2 dinner of roast, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole tomorrow! (Explanation - I meal plan and we have 2 coolers of frozen dinners prepared ahead of time. I try to meal plan according to the half way dinner being put into the 2nd cooler so it stays taped shut until that time. By the 2012 blogs, I was a day off the "other way"! I'm ok with it and the guys aren't complaining about any of it either.) We had Trader Joe's ice cream "bon bons" for dessert.

A special shout out - "Thank you" to the Bowlings and Zimmermans for the "mail" for the boys. They were super happy to receive. Mom - thanks for the nice individual notes for us too.

We are officially on our way TO Oahu vs. FROM San Francisco! Kim
