One day late - half way dinner today!
18 July 2016 | 29 36'N:144 50'W,
Kim
We had a busy afternoon but I managed to actually cook our half way dinner tonight. Pork roast, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole - yummy. That was all after our "fun-filled-firedrill" afternoon.I may be spilling the beans for the bar/drink discussion so won't go into detail, although I want to! I was asleep and then asked to come on deck - basically, main halyard broke at the shackle (really!?) and spinnaker wrap wouldn't come out (between noon and 2pm if you can see by the tracker we were a little off course for a few hours), then a few other things...but being resilent, we took it one step at a time and all pitched in to get it all re-rigged and moving fast again. Here's hoping all stays "together" for 4 more days. I guess someone thought we needed more of a challenge than we currently have had. I'm not in agreement, but then I also don't believe in messing with Mother Nature.
Kids have been diligently journaling everyday rather than blogging, so should be some fun stories to read in their books and memories for later; and of course, tracking the debris we see. All is good on our boat...getting closer to Hawaii. Kim
