The weather is beautiful...

19 July 2016 | 28 13'N:147 23'W,
Kim
We are starting to see the deep blue beautiful water of the Pacific Ocean and the sun. The wind and waves have been steadily blowing 20 knots and 10-12 feet. We had a few thunderstorms last night, and with the moon so big and bright you can see them coming. Vince endured a pretty long and windy storm on our early morning watch - I'll let him tell the story of how he felt while driving! "Pretty wicked" was one description he used.

We don't have any electronic instruments - something that happened on our "fun-filled Monday" so driving via the ol' fashion compass. Ironically I find it a bit easier on the eyes at night. We still have the E80's which give us waypoints and headings and other boat info so not all lost, but damn these expensive electronics! We will have to get fixed in Hawaii so Brad can use the autopilot on the way back. Steve Basuino - if you are reading, and have a contact name for any contacts on Oahu for Raymarine instruments, could you please email Scott - thx.

Having mexican stackup for dinner tonight. Just cleaned out the refrigerator and put the remaining dinner in the freezer from the coolers. I had to create a "revised" menu for the remaining 4 days. It's getting really hot in the cabin if I use the oven, so trying to not use now. We will have bisquits, muffins and brownies available for our "land house"!

We keep making tremendous daily progress, pretty unbelievable 200 mile days, even with our mishaps. Here's hoping to a very uneventful full-moon starlit sky kinda night. Ciao for now, Kim
