Was a sad day today in that Chris left to go with our Argentinian friends to go to Grenada. This worked out best for both of us. He can learn some Spanish and I need to wait here for mail from my son, Aaron.

Chris was great crew, always fixing stuff and contributing to every aspect of running the boat. He also was exceedingly generous in the financial realm. My compliments to his mom and dad, Sue and Bob, for raising him with such good ethics.

So alone again. Will wait here until son, Aaron, forwards some very important mail.

Caught another barracuda trolling over, drat it. Since they make chocolate here we tried some 82%. Man that is some dark stuff. The people here are very friendly and of course speak a"version" of English.

Customs and immigration and port fees were 65 and 8 EC But they gave us three months

We made a brief stop at Hillsborough before here but didn't like the roll or boat boys. You just have to be firm and say no thank you. Well it's supposed to work!

Was fun to wake up to a donkey braying ashore

Had to leave Tobago Cays today to go to Union Island or pay another $65EC.

Sailed over to Palm Island where the author Caldwell who wrote "Desperate Voyage". Would highly recommend this book for an entertaining but true read

Gosh how beautiful is this place! These little islands are not inhabited and are part of a national park. The park rangers come around and collect after you tie up to a mooring ball. You can't wait to dive in

I've been looking forward to swimming with sea turtles and boy were they here. Hundreds of them grazing on the bottom like cows. Was fun just watching them

Also saw many tropicals and tried to take pictures. Is hard holding on in current and operating the camera at the same time.aybe some came out okay

These islands are very close together so it only takes an hour or two to move to the next

Again pestered by the boat boys.

Bought 4 coconuts from a guy trimming palms back on Canouan and opened some. They were in the gelatinous stage which is very good.

Went snorkeling and saw many small lobsters. Was much fun watching Dorsha trying to catch them with his hands. He would jerk back just as soon as they wiggled. They were only about 5" long and he is a very big guy

Arribed here after a pleasant sail. Only cranked the motor to up anchor and set. No fish today so we will eat some more of Mr Mackeral tonight

Stan - It's great that you are keeping updated, we love hearing of your progress, and we are also very happy that you have someone else sharing your trip and watches. Thanks for the reviews of locations! We hope to get to some of them eventually (not on this trip, though). You are so close to being completely out of potential hurricane tracks... excellent! Meanwhile, Pensacola is in for some flooding from Debby. Stay happy and well, you guys! -- Derek, Heather and Grant

We are in the Grenadines now. Had a long 48m trip here. Left 4:30 this morning. We caught a nice Cero Mackeral, hooked a sailfish momentarily and saw a small whale directly under the boat

Having trouble loading this site on my computer but will upload pics when on again

Got to attend a local church Sunday and enjoyed listening to Thomas their new pastor. No men there at all just women and children
