What a great island! This is Scooter's destination. He is a professional photographer and loves to surf. This island has some of the best left curl waves of anyplace so he is off and going. What a nice guy he has been. He speaks Spanish and went with Roni and me ashore. We had his shore contact thart took us around the island looking at the main attractions. Get this in perspective though. No cars or vehicles or even roads, just trails.
We visited the famous 'walking tree' and another very large tree. we also saw Captain Morgan's treasure cave. This island was notorious for pirates to hide their stolen booty on. Our guide's mother and grandmother supposedly have a found treasure chest buried somewhere. I think John Nix would love to explore here with a metal detector. Sometimes after a rain you can find a coin on the trails.
We ate at a dirt floored resturant. The owner sent someone out for our drinks, then another for oil, another for bread, someone carried in chicken and lastly a fish was brought in. It was comical but it was very fresh.
