Today's start was postponed as the head honcho closed the port owing to winds 35-50 knots offshore.

Consequently we're having a day off, lounging around drinking smoothies and perchance a cocktail later. Well, not a complete day off; up 't mast first thing this morning to retrieve the remains of our decorative ARC flags which parted in the middle of the night leaving a lonely flag and our halyard 60 feet in the air. Muppet.

Also splashed on a bit of varnish and gave the most a wash down. Again.

Last night was prize giving fur leg one. As interlopers we weren't in the running but certainly enjoyed the lavish dinner hosted by Santa Marta marina and Tourist Board.

Welcome cocktail, wine with dinner which was just superb. The marina and tourist boards have certainly worked hard with World Cruising to create a memorable stay.

Guess it's time for a wee cocktail!

Outta here tomorrow, Port Captain permitting. Overnight sail to San Blas for fun and frolics on the beaches. Biggest issue is that San Blas is basically one big reef so scary eyeball navigation coming up.
