Later, with Tools Letton
01 November 2016
"Ohhh brilliant....look at our ETA estimator. It says we'll be in by 2 tomorrow morning!"
Later....."Aww. We've slowed, look at it now. It's going to be gone 5 at this speed. Dammit"
Later still....."Bollocks. Where'd the wind go? At this speed it will be next Thursday before we're in. Put the the engine on."
Vroooom......"whoo hoo. At this speed we'll be in by just gone 3!"
Later......blessed silence as the engine stops. I wasn't meant to stop right enough, but it did. Just died, kaput, nada, nuthin'. Picking of course the ideal time after 10 months at sea, just a few hours away from navigating up a busy, narrow, mud banked channel in the pitch black.**
Later.... Good news. Tool box out, spanners and wrenches scattered around the floor and after an hour or so of changing filters, dismantling the fuel line system, pouring diesel down my back and all over the floor and at last, blowing some diesel "Snot Bogey" (name that TV series) out of the main feed pipe we're off again.
"Hey......look. At this speed we'll be........"
SHUT UP she screams...................

**What happened to Rule #1 - "Do not enter an unknown port in the dark", you might ask. Well, what happened is a forecast of old boots, 45 of them from the north west by 06:00 tomorrow morning so the hammer is down to get us in as fast as we can, dark or no dark.
