Well after a fun trip to the states to do some sight seeing and shopping we are back on the water. Ben wanted to go for a sail so I loaded up Ben and the main crew and we headed back out on the water for a little trip around the area. This time the destination was the entry bay for the Elk river (49 09.98N 115 12.58W).
The goal was a lofty one as once more the wind was sporadic. A very light constant with little guts here and there. As it was we made it just shy of the point before we headed back (49 10.68N 115 13.38W). I would have like to have made the more open water of the joining near the Elk but it didn't look like the wind was all that better there today then it was where we were so we skipped the push and made due with what we accomplished for the trip before heading back.
We did get a really nice view of the huge house someone has put up on the side of the hill leading down to the lake near the point (49 11.23N 115 14.11W). They did some very nice rock work on the grounds around it and on the building itself. We slipped in close in the bend in front of it to get a good look and then stitched our way back to camp. Ben seemed to have a great time and is really enjoying being out in the boat sailing.
