Time to play again

Chad / Rising wind Northerly
Well the morning was quite and we had a great time with the kids in the camp. Had a nice trail ride on the bikes and played a few games in open green space. The day was clear and held a promise of fun later in the day. As the afternoon wore on the air offered a breath of wind and it was time to prep the boat and see if the hinted at breeze would kick.
With the core crew and Den on board we headed out. With a slight ripple on the water and the sails set to make the most of the breath of wind we had. Sharayah decided to do a little fishing as we inched along while the rest of us spread out to soak up the sun's rays or find some form of shade to hide form it. Den took the tiller and coached Sharayah with her fishing while I dozed on the bow.
I heard it coming just before it hit and had enough time to roll over and grab the hand rail before the sails snapped tight and the boat lurched forward and hard over on the starboard side. With the starboard rail in the water and Sharayah in a panic I made the cockpit and took over the tiller form Den who was having a great time much to Sharayahs dismay. Once the sail's where rest and I pointed her over a bit she leveled out an ran out nicely. That helped calm Sharayah down and set her more at ease.
We had a fun time stiching our way north to just south of the provincial campground (49 13.65N 115 15.02W) again and then back. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we had a nice run for the return to port. All and all another successful trip with a small bit of chaotic excitement that Sharayah is not about to forget. :)
