Good Bye, Denmark

Last night in Marina Minde, 9 PM
We have traveled 3.5 NM since Tivoli was launched 7 days ago. At least we have left the boat yard in search of a more "cruising type experience", and have landed in Marina Minde which is a great protected harbor, perfect for bending on the sails and chasing down those gremlins that tends to move aboard when we move off!
It has become a new Bentsen tradition to gather as many Bentsen's as possible each spring for a family re-union. Somehow, one of those gremlins got into our rental car. Upon arriving at the hotel we discovered Torben had been driving on a flat tire for God knows how many miles!
Once back to Tivoli, that same sneaky bastard jumped out of the car and landed in our icebox. We came back to discover the fans were working but not the compressor = $$$$$$ At this point, Torben was not be reckoned with and took down that gremlin once and for all! (We'll, maybe) He got out a few self-help books, checked the fuse, all connections, by passed the thermostat, and presto, we were back in business. He'll be installing the new thermostat today, after he fixes the leak under my sink and a frayed jib halyard! Tivoli trumps me with her "honey do" list! Did I really just use the word TRUMP?
Tomorrow we are ready for takeoff. The frig is now stocked with food we bought in Germany because for some unknown reason, Danish food is cheaper in Germany, Swedish food is cheaper in Denmark and Norwegian food is just plain expensive everywhere! We have enjoyed the wonderful weather and the sunshine that last longer than our waking hours. Though anxious to get the show on the road and start our journey to Spain, I would be lying if I said there was not a bit of remiss in leaving Torben's home country. Lowering the Danish courtesy flag tomorrow may not be easy for Torben.
Look for the next update coming from Kiel, where we will be transiting the Kiel Canal of Northern Germany. From there we will proceed to Cuxhafen and wait for a weather window to cross the North Sea for England.
