Yancanuck

Here is the line that needed whipped for the dead eyes. You will see the thread is all coated with wax. When you are finished your fingers all stick together. The black tape will be removed when the lines are in place on the boat and Tom will burn the ends.

Every peace of line has to be whipped at both ends. That's a lot of whipping and I'm a real whipper snapper!

About:	Tom is a Yankie and Nancy is a Canuck. This is how we came up with the name for our boat Yancanuck. We met two years ago and got married, at the time Nancy had bought a Catalina 30 and came to Panama City on holidays to see her new boat. Tom had already been here for 6 years.
Extra:	The boat was built in Panama City by a man named Marvin Boase. Marvin built everything on the boat but unfortunately didn't ever sail it. He died on the boat. So maybe we have a ghost to deal with! The boat was never really cared for since Marvin's death, but now we are restoring it. It [...] is like the boat has a spirit and says thank you every time we fix something. Just like a house everything you do makes you see something else to fix or make it look better. So far I have made all new cushions, curtains and we painted the inside. We have put all new line on the boat. Re-rigged the boat. Removed and painted both masts. Put in a new head, new anchors, worked on varish. More
