Getting Closer...

06 March 2013
It's beginning to feel like it's all coming down to the wire now...

Last weekend while Laurie made some fancy new fender covers, I managed to send myself an email! Pathetic I know - but at least this email was sent over the SSB! Unfortunately I was not able to reply to my own email - but I think that had more to do with lousy propagation than poor hook-ups!

This weekend we will remove the shrink wrap cover and prepare the boat for having the mast un-stepped and the boat hauled - early next week. She'll be on the hard for 2 - 3 weeks, getting her hull attended to - possible chemical stripping of the anti-foul due to a flaking problem - we'll evaluate once she's out. She's having her boot stripe raised an inch - to account for all the crap we're bringing aboard and various other bits and pieces.

The mast is going to be looked over by Phip Hallowell at Rig-Pro. He's going to be adjusting the forward stays, replacing some rusted components and stuff like that - then once she's back together, we'll have him aboard so he can tune the rig.

We're building a shopping list - for use at the Defender Sale - it gets longer each day!

Fun, Fun, Fun!
