Dan finally reeled in a fish! (see pic.)
Sunday we crossed the Saintes – mainland Guadeloupe passage under fairly windy conditions. We made it across in record time as our knot meter indicated over 7 knots for a better part of the crossing; that is above average for our boat.

As we followed the west coast of the island, the winds were up and down….and that is where the fish was caught.
I did not partake in this great accomplishment as it was my afternoon nap time. He was like a little kid on Xmas morning…sooooo excited….yelling…I caught a fish….I caught a fish!

We arrived in Deshaies late afternoon and found a great anchoring spot; last spring we dragged anchor in three different areas of this bay.

Monday morning we went to shore to fill the diesel jerry cans, get our clearance papers and also had a great lunch….dinner was pretty good as well…did I mention that Dan caught a tuna?

Tuesday, the wind was forecasted to be over 20 knots and we would have had it on the nose, so we decided to stay at our anchorage and have a nice relaxing, don’t do much except read and relax day.

Today, we had a rock & rollin’ motorsail to Montserrat. Our anchorage is pretty rolly but there is a beautiful surf running into shore…..tomorrow….Nevis or St. Kitts.

We are moving quickly in order to make it to St. Martin before the Christmas winds arrive; Heather & Judy are flying in on the 6th….we are quite anxious to visit with them.

P.S. Did I mention Capt'n Dan caught a fish!!!!
