We are still in g'town, relaxed and happy. Today was a biggy. To town to do laundry. Fairly painless. Saw two familiar boat cards stapled to the column. Made us a little homesick for the people at sunset bay marina. Hi Denny, Diane, Michelle, Geoff and boys.
Marty took the shuttle (an extended cab pickup. He sat in the back of the truck), to prime island meats which is a new business here, specializing in cold cuts, salads and, yes, meat. He came home with a rotisserie chicken and cole slaw. All we need is some deviled eggs for great picnic fair. Tomorrow is water making day and aargh, defrost the freezers day. Gotta break out the blow dryers...
Played Texas hold 'em for the first time last week. Couldn't quite get the check part when betting, but I will say I was the last woman in the game. I decided to quit while I was ahead and did not go back the next time. You will however see me playing with George clooney. Not a great pick and it won't be posted for a while cuz our laptop passed away due to a bad case of white wine spillage. I am sure others of you out there have had this disease as well. No laughing.
Georgetown has really cleared out in the last few days. I think there were around 300 boats when we arrived and it looks as though 250 have split for points south or back to the states. Hey, wait! We just got here. Again, everyone was nice and helpful. I borrowed dog nail clippers for lily. Caitlin said we were bordering on dog abuse. I think I'll need to clip once more before we or they sail away.
So that's it for now. Think we will turn around next week and return through Eleuthera. Really excited for that.
