Pammy's take away

I have gotten over my angst about no one coming to the book exchange and am glad we have moved on. We made our way to governor's harbor on Eleuthera. It was a beautiful day and a great sail with jib and main up. We averaged about 7 knots and touched 9 a couple times. Just lovely. There were only a few boats when we arrived. It was nice to see friends from g'town on "anything goes" and "patronus". We went to a fish fry on Friday night. Literally a fried whole fish, accompanied by a couple sides. I was smart and ordered the BBQ pork chop which I, thoughtfully, shared with mart. We sat with some people from Arizona. No one was on a boat. They were vacationing. Kinda weird to be with land folks!
Sunday we left for Spanish wells, on st George cay. Not much happening as we arrived around 6 pm. We found out that today is whit Monday. Have no idea what that is, but everything is closed. So...we decided to push on to harbour island, the home of the pink beaches and very upscale communities. We had to hire a pilot to take us through the devil's backbone, a treacherous patch of water on the north end of Eleuthera that is dotted with reefs and coral heads. We arrived about 4:30 pm. Greeting us was a family of dolphins. Five in all. Sorry, I was too busy ogling them to take any pics. But, yesterday as well, there were some dolphins in Spanish wells. If you look closely at the pics, you'll see a fin. Those suckers are hard to catch with a camera! We plan to stay a few days. Have to take advantage of the pink sands. Promise to capture their beauty.
Had to get a picture of pammy's take away in governor's harbor, eluethera. Didn't know my sister was starting a new biz! Anyway, we got lunch and sat at a picnic table under a tree. It was delicious.
