From our anchorage at St. Joe Point around Cape San Blas to Carrabelle is about 75 miles. We got underway about 1300. The late start was to time our arrival at Carrabelle after daybreak. We had never seen the channel up the Carrabelle river and we didn't want to do it in the dark.
After an uneventful overnight passage, we arrived at C Quarters Marina in Carrabelle about 0930. We tied up at the fuel dock to await slack water as there is quite a current across the slips and it was not advised to attempt entering the slip when the current was running. With the tide slack, we successfully tied up in our slip, and began the wait for a weather window to make the 140 nmi passage to Tarpon Springs.
