We were welcomed to Rome by Alethia, a young Canadian relative of mine who has an apartment and made us very comfortable and welcome for the night. She kindly took us out sightseeing and introducing us to one of her favourite restaurants where we had a memorable meal. Thank you Alethia !.
The next morning we set off early for the railway station which is gigantic.
We got a train to the port opposite the island of ELBA where we boarded a ferry to ELBA.
