Arrived in San Carlos

02 November 2011 | San Carlos, MX
We arrived in San Carlos around 3pm today. No problems at all, just a very long drive and we are pooped. We LOVE the new apartment, the car is unpacked, we checked in with Marina Seca and postponed Adagio's move into the workyard until Friday, said hi to Ed & Fran, had a wonderful dinner and will head for Guaymas tomorrow to renew our FM3.

Just a couple of notes for those coming down soon:

We did declare our bottom paint. No problem. Cost us about $70 but well worth the worry of getting caught with it. Got the green light all the way through. There is a detour in Hermisillo. Good signage, no problem. No cop problems, although Oscar (the rigger) said he got stopped yesterday going through there. Talked his way out of it. We left Green Valley at 8:30am, got here at 3pm. Lots of slow downs, lots of construction. Nothing unusual really.

Anyway, we can hear the surf crashing along the beach from the open windows and the just right breeze blowing in to chase out the heat of the day. It's a beautiful night overlooking the bay from the east windows and the mountains from the west. We are so happy to be here. I feel better physically, just tired. Jeff is already in bed, comfortable under just a sheet. I'm heading for the shower and will tackle the piles of stuff to organize and put away tomorrow.

For now, all is well and it would be entirely perfect if you were just here.
