A Change Of Plans

04 March 2017
After reviewing the weather forecast, we have decided to return south Monday morning. The winds have not subsided and, in fact, are to increase Sunday and Sunday night when we were to be anchored on the Manatee River. With winds predicted to be 20 to 25 knots from the east, and with no protection, it would not have been enjoyable.

Perhaps, some may think we are a bit conservative. We know the boat would be fine that is not the issue. Boating is to be enjoyable. When we have to, we can do it. But why do it when you don't have to and have other options. Therefore, we have arranged for another night in Sarasota and will head south Monday morning, back to Cape Haze. There we can spend several days on a nearby beach and also see good friends living on Don Pedro Island. That sounds enjoyable.
