Day 1 Revisited
12 April 2009 | Clewiston, FL
We are currently at Clewiston with access to the internet and will update our previous brief posting. On our first day, we motored from Burnt Store Marina to Glover Bight, an anchorage near Ft. Myers. During the 6 hour trip, we saw about 30 dolphin, several sea turtles, and, at the anchorage, some sting rays. There, we anchored in about 13 feet of water just outside of Tarpon Pointe Marina. The four 13 to 17 story condo buildings were not there when we were there in 2004. It certainly lost some of its rustic charm; but, it is still a good anchorage. After a quiet night, we left the anchorage early for our next leg up the river, past Ft. Myers, to LaBelle.
