Where did I see that, or stow that?

Cloudy, windy (back to northerly), chilly.
Busy place on the weekend. Boats leaving mooring balls, new boats arriving. Small boats rented out driving around the harbor, kayaks, a paddle boarder going as hard as he could, and it was windy and choppy.
One of the draws of the boat show is to meet Behan Gifford from Sailing Totem blog fame. I have been following for a bit now and I have found her posts to be very helpful. A few days ago she posted that she would be giving several presentations at the boat show and to let her know if you would be there. At the time I wasn’t going, so I discarded it. Now I wanted to respond. Was the post in email? Not found. Instagram? Not found. Facebook? Bingo! I read through the comments and someone posted they would be there and were currently on a mooring ball. It was the boat, Vela, right next to me! The boat that commented on how well I did picking up the mooring ball solo.
One trouble I have with cruising is remembering where I stowed everything. In hard to get to stowage areas, I have recorded what I put there. But there are still times several months after the fact ... now where did I put that? The current missing items are a piece of plastic that I had Pat bring me (irritating but not a big deal), and my old iPhone that I was going to use in the Bahamas. For a long time it was perfectly happy sitting on the shelf by my bed. But one day, I decided I wanted to store it in a much more secure spot - someplace where I would never find it. Okay, that last part wasn’t on purpose, but that is where I am right now.
I tried to clean another winch on the mast. And of course, the base didn’t come apart the same way as the first winch I did yesterday. I gave up defeated and slightly bloodied. I may have to take it off the mast to get it apart, something I am reluctant to do for several reasons.
