Laying down on the job and haunted houses
29 October 2017 | Charleston, SC
Sunny, cool and windy. 40 tonight
Pete and Sue got together with a daughter of a former neighbor of theirs. So we met at a great restaurant for brunch and they got caught up on what was going on in their lives. Which included the spirit of a house near Sue and Pete. Apparently it was a grandmotherly spirit, so don't be yelling too hard at a kid, or the spirit might show her disapproval.
There was a lot of good food involved, so afterward, we spent several hours strolling through Charleston and along the windy riverfront, trying to walk it off. They really work hard here to preserve their heritage and buildings. Another very interesting town.
As the blog photo shows, we are still otherwise laying around, trying to recover from our two night trip, listening to the wind howl outside the boat as the temperature drops down to 40 tonight. I paid for electricity tonight so I could run my heater. I was looking for warmth on this trip, so while I do have some warm stuff, a sleeping bag is not one of the things I brought along.
