Back in Florida - no dentists here!

70s this evening. Humidity is often around 90%
My trip home ended the same way it started - at the dentist. I’m glad I didn’t know what was involved with getting a temporary crown, because I wasn’t ready for it after the root canal. I didn’t want to go through that (root canal) again, and in many ways getting the new crown was too similar. When I come back at Christmas I have one more appointment to get the permanent crown. They promise that one will be short and sweet. I should have asked, “Will there be more large needles involved?” Maybe it is better if I don’t know beforehand.
The tide is going out now. When I first arrived at the boat, it was slack tide, so the water was not moving, but it is moving now. Down below in the boat, one can hear the water rushing by the boat and the dock. It sounds like you are sitting on the bank of a babbling brook, or small stream, as the water rushes over the rocks.
Someone following my blog suggested I needed a certain book to help me find anchorages along the way. When I went to my brothers for Thanksgiving, he presented me with that very same book to look at. So it would seem to be a good resource to have.
My brother Paul sent me a link to mooring fields in Florida. That pointed me to Titusville, which is the home port of Sasha, the boat I met in Beaufort. I made a reservation in Titusville to leave the boat there at Christmas. The rate there is less than half of what I paid here. The downside is that it is further from the airport, so that will eat into some of my slip savings.
