The tortoise and the hare

03 December 2017 | Titusville mooring
Partly cloudy and warm. Kinda bouncy now.
Today, all day, seemed to be small speedboat day. There was a steady stream of them all doing two things: going extremely fast and making a racquet. Even half a mile away they are LOUD. It sounded like the Daytona 500.

In contrast, it was rather pleasant to hear the ice cream truck bells drifting out across the water from the beach area diagonally across the way. Directly across is the boaters beach - an uninhabited island.

I checked the deck wash pump wires. They all look good and so does the fuse. Now after having looked at those wires under the sink, it would appear the wires going to the deck wash are not involved at all with the wires I played with yesterday. I hate it when you play with wires that have nothing to do with the deck wash, and then the deck wash starts working as if they did (last week). Liars. On the other hand, now one of the bathroom lights works better.

I boogied on down to Florida while the Canadian couple on Kristtaney was stuck in the Chesapeake waiting for their new rudder. So while I was enjoying the Florida weather, they were suffering through 30 some degree weather and a vicious nor’easter. The blog photo shows them as they passed me on their way south while I am distracted by visits home and a visit to see my sisters. So the boat left up north by several of us is now the one furthest south.
