Mile Hammock Bay MM 245

Long day today, trying to keep it in the middle. I think I have found every low, shallow hump along the way. I either need to pay more attention or find a deeper boat to get in front of me. I am anchored tonight in Mile Hammock Bay which is in the middle of Camp Lejuene. Signs posting live fire area- turn to 530 am for more info. Burned out tanks along the shore. Helicopters buzzing overhead. I think I will try harder to keep it in the middle, else becoming a target. Today is the first time since Hampton Va. that I have been able to take off my 2 fleece sweaters and my smart wool socks. The sun feels good after so many days of sucky weather. Tomorrow, Carolina Beach to set us up for Wednesdays planned outside passage to Charleston.
