I woke up this morning with a Bahamian Defense Force boat anchored behind me. Their version of the CG. They had been there since midnight according to the guy on the radio. They waited until I woke up and then asked me my document number, last and next port of call.... Routine I guess. Nice to see them around. Just surprised me that I didn't hear them come into the anchorage this morning.
The rolling was getting worse in Flamingo Cay so I needed to move. Too far to make it to Long Island today as I would have gotten there after dark. Not a whole lot of choices in the neck of the woods. So I moved the 13 miles back to Water Cay. It was a fantastic sail doing well over 7 knots. I need to be in Georgetown by Sunday anyhow (weather related) and because from here it's a long way I decided to break the trip into legs. The first being going back to Water Cay. It's only 13 miles but will save a few hours tomorrow. I'll probably head to Salt Pond on Long Island and then head to GT on Sunday. The wind is supposed to moderate some (a word St. Chris uses), 110 maybe 120 degrees 16-18. So that is a good forecast for about 90 percent of the trip...I'll let you know a
