Ugly Night part 2
28 April 2012 | Off the coast of Cape Fear
For the 2nd night in a row, on my watch, I get all the excitement. A series of squalls blew though. Not much of a wind component but plenty of rain and a great light show. Squalls themselves are unnerving at sea. Mostly cause you don't know how much wind there is. Although during the day light hours you can see the roll cloud and at least be fore warned that there is wind. At night, in the dark, no moon, a squall is more than unnerving. All you can see are the lightening strikes. Last nights show was in 360 degree sensaround.
OK then..... don't need that much excitement.
