The other half

Female prospective requested. It all began for me by telling a friend that I would love to go sailing sometime - a week later I met the captain of Unabated completely by chance - God must have a great sense of humor. Never having sailed or even been on a sailboat in my life (won't give my age but I've lived half my life already) I was so excited to finally have a chance to sail - well, needless to say I didn't know what to expect and here I am almost 5 months later - helping (well not really) plan a 2 year cruise. For those women out there in the same boat (no pun intended) - do you ever get to the point where you feel like you might get it! All the skills that you need to learn in order to take a trip like that seems so far in the distance. I keep plugging along at reading all the books that keep stacking up on the coffee table. Good thing that he hasn't set a date yet! To be continued. Oh, I got to go to my first boat show in Toronto - his comment - maybe that wasn't such a good idea - now I have too many decorating ideas - but isn't that half the fun?

Good for you.
Two years ago I took a dinghy lessons, and today we are planning next year's voyage . Me, my wife and our two kids are going cruising .We are in the same stage , learning , taking numerous curses , and last week we went to the Seattle's boat show .
Good luck and fair winds .
