Summer Cruise SW
Heading back
hot and steamy, but better
18 July 2009 | John Sawyer Banks
Well, folks, as they say, "why keep playing a bad hand"? We've had a host of issues, and now it's so hot we've both taken to sleeping in the cockpit because it's cooler there at night. But the sweat runs off your little bod all night long...yech. And we've continued to have some mechanical issues as well. The morale is still up, and we'll continue to enjoy the cruise as we head back...stop in a few fave places and all. Expect to be home in about 5 days, but we're going to East Cape now, so we'll be out of range for a day or two. Our heading is about 09 degrees to get there.

Sorry to hear you've had to turn back, but sometimes just no point pushing the envelope. Hear you on the heat issue, spent many a night sweating, dripping and trying to get comfy in the g.d. cockpit. Now you know the mechanicals in order to prep for the next shot. Let us know when you get home. Love to both
