Hurricane Irene just passed us and is headed up the East coast. Can't say I was disappointed, but we have had worse thunder storms here.

In preparation, I removed the main and everything that could have blown off. I tied the bimini back, tied all the winch covers in place, tightened up the Jib, doubled the dock lines, closed all the thru hulls, tied the sheets to the mast, put out all additional fenders, and did a quick check of my Boat US Insurance.
I was on standby to add some old tires to the docks if she stayed class 3. She beat up the Bahamas and only gave us the edge. "Thank you, Irene"!
