Petalas is connected to the mainland by the marshland and tucked in behind the spit is a nice quiet and peaceful overnight anchorage. There were 7 yachts in total in the anchorage all in about 5 meters of water.

The coastline here is littered with fish farms which all link along the coast north to south.

There were no clouds in the sky so we were able to see the Mars and the milky way after a nice evening meal in the cockpit. It was so quiet.

We had our anchor watch alarm on, took our bearings and noted the lat and long, but did not budge an inch. The anchor was certainly well dug in and was not going anywhere. We had to clean the mud and silt off before bringing it back on board the next morning.

As the weather forecast is now not looking too good and we are going to have a couple of days of heavy rain we have decided to change our plan. We are going to head off to Patras before the weather rather than going to Mesolongion which looked rather nice at the top end of a dredged canal.
