We posted a message on the Cruising Association website for the Med Section saying we were going to visit Rhodes and was anyone in the Marina. We met up with a lovely couple who showed us the Marina, gave us a good insight to cruising ground around Rhodes and hopefully we will met them again on our travels.

Rhodes has an Honorary Local Representative (HLR) and he invited us to his office after he had also organised a tour for us. We heard about the plans for the new shipyard he is involved in. It will be a great haul out yard when it is completed.

Makis' company has offices all over Greece and globally servicing the needs of all yacht and super yacht owners and their needs. We used his company to organise our passage through the Corinth Canal in September.

The CA is certainly provides a great resource network for information.

The photograph is of the current commercial yard where you would have to come out now if you wanted your boat ashore for the winter. As you can see it is very crowded and it would be a full on logistics exercise for the re-launches. The new shipyard will be a great alternative once it is finished.
