This week the local sailing school has been sponsoring the Laser ragatta in Ragusa di Marina. It has been great fun watch hundreds of small boats get ready and all pile out of the marina basin for the start line. The ragatta has been on all week for juniors and seniors. As we are at the end of a pontoon we have a great viewpoint to watch them launch and then tack back and forth narrowly missing each other and the lazy lines.

They have had mixed winds so probably this has made for an exciting week of races. It does look good fun and reminds us on the hobby cat we went out on in the Caribbean and were the only couple that did not end upside down and did not need to be towed back to the beach. However, it was certainly more luck than good dinghy sailing technique.
