New Solar Panels Operational

Susan / hot & humid, afternoon rain, 85 degrees F
Cesar and Jerry install the new solar panel arch support late yesterday afternoon. The cost of the support structure is Q.5116 (US $731) plus Q.725 (US $104) shipping for materials, and Q.2639 (US $377) for labor for a subtotal of Q.7859 (US $1123), plus the stainless & connectors brought down in luggage. It took time for it to be manufactured but it is strong and visually clean. On the whole, we're pleased with Cesar's work.
This morning Jerry & I, with s/v Ka'imi Mike's help, install the 4 solar panels. Jerry has already installed the needed 2nd charge controller so once secured and hooked up, we watch the amps flow in. All good on the solar power front.
Now that the heavy dirty work is done, Vida Dulce gets her spa treatment, a much needed wash & wax. This will take several days. When completed, the outdoor cushions and sunshades can be reinstalled giving us back our aft cockpit.
