After two extremely foggy mornings clearing to hot sunny afternoons we have made it to Annapolis. There must be a thousand boats out racing today. A nice breeze has come in and everyone is enjoying the day.
We spent last night at Solomons Island. We found a nice quiet bay to anchor in in an otherwise very busy place with lots of marinas, etc. unfortunately we got a bunch of green stuff all over the boat. Don't know what it is. Woke up to an incredibly dense fog. Boats would appear out of nowhere. Bob figures we had a visibility of 1/8 mile. Gradually the fog lifted. We knew there was a ship behind us. Saw it for a second. Then it disappeared in the fog. When it reappeared it was amazingly close to us.
As the day cleared up the wind came up and it was gorgeous! We are docked at Mears marina. We will be visiting with the Betz's for a couple of days.
