Fog
We went from cold and rainy to hot and fog.
It was amazing coming in to NYC. You could only see about 3/4 of a mile away and there were ships everywhere. It took every bit of concentration we both had to keep our eyes peeled for barges and ships. They would appear out of nowhere.
Going by the Statue of Liberty, lower Manhattan, and the new World Trade Center in the fog was quite moving.
The temperatures rose considerably as we got off the ocean and up the Hudson. All our wet clothes and shoes finally dried.
Tomorrow we will probably go to Saugerties and then it's 10 miles to Catskill.
