Jacky
What can I say but that it has been an interesting day?
This morning started out drizzly in Norfolk. We were sure it would be a quick passage through all the bridges and one lock. But we were wrong. First we were held up at a bridge for 10 minutes by a power boat that was late. The bridges here all open on the hour or half hour. Then we got to the lock and were held up for an hour by the coast guard doing boat inspections. Then we were held up at this be bridge 100 yards after the lock. It was very congested.
Around mile 40 on the intracoast waterway it got very shallow. It was very dicey going all the way into Coinjock. In the mean time, the skies cleared and the sun came out. The heat felt wonderful.
I am having problems posting pictures so we don't have any here. Look at the side bar and see if I can post them there
We arrived on Coinjock just in time to have a fish dinner at Crabbies on our side of the river. The food was great.
