Jacky
This morning we woke up to cooler but brighter weather. The sun felt heavenly. We only ran aground once getting out of our anchorage. The ditch was no more pleasant than yesterday. Being Saturday, there was tons of motor boat traffic of all kinds. I am assuming the first sunny day in a week had lots to do with the traffic.

Near TopSail inlet we ran into lots of shoaling problems. We ran aground twice. All the inlets caused shoaling problems and great care had to be taken crossing them. Especially when the current was giving you a 3.5 knot push. Sometimes we had to reverse to slow us down enough.

We pulled into the tiny harbor at Southport. The good news is there is lots of water here. The mooring area is about the size of the yacht club basin.

After we arrived here Bobby spent a couple hours fixing the boat up for an outside passage. We plan on going to bed early and getting up early.

We are sick of the ditch and have prepared to go outside in the morning to Charleston. The weather is supposed to get better and better so we might go straight to Jacksonville. If we get cell service we will post. Otherwise we will SPOT. So check that on the blog.

For dinner we had the shrimp we bought in Beaufort. I'm a little garlic led out!
