Day 5 at sea

28 March 2007 | On board
Greg
150 miles travelled since same time yesterday - a good cruising boats effort. We have definately reached the trades - we have 15 knots out of the NE and are running wing and wing. Still no fish. Debbie thinks our lures will grow barnacles before we catch a fish. Oh, she of little faith.

Not a lot to report as the days are staring to melt into one and other. Oh,we have stared taking French lessons. A young French couple come over to our computer each afternoon and talk to us, play games with us and we talk back. We don't sound anything like them but I guess it's a start.

We are about to indulge in classic ships biscuits. These are the little hard things that you see in the Horatio Hornblower movies where they all sit around the table banging them to get the weavils out. ?rgh, there goes another one me laddies. The difference between those and Debbie's is that their's were baked 16 years before they were eaten and hers are being baked as we speak (or write, as is the case). Fortunately I write this up in the middle of the day but don't send it off until dark when radio propogation is better, so you, dear reader will have the opportunity to get a first hand report as to the success or otherwise of today's offering.

Well, the biscuits were pretty good. They were actually like little slices of freshly made bread and we used as sandwiches. #
