The waterfront Mansions of Mooloolaba

03 June 2014 | Mooloolaba
Debbie
Mansions, mansions all around us on one side, all with their Pontoons and Jetties and their Cruisers and Catamarans and yachts tied up out the front. The Wharf complex on the opposite side with restaurants, cafés, shops, bike hire (our friend Lyn hired one yesterday to come biking with us) and boat hire and small cruise terminal. Behind that Waterworld. Along from all that Mooloolaba Yacht Club and Marina. WHAT a change from the 80's when we were here last. No mansions then.

The pic shows my favourite home but it appears out of place here amongst ALL the other extremely modern ones (each new house has to be bigger than the neighbours) My favourite (pictured) belongs more on the foreshores of Mosman, Hunters Hill, Birchgrove, Woolwich in Sydney. I couldn't take a pic of the whole house, it covered a whole point.
