Finally we caught a fish
30 September 2014 | OFF Cape Townsend
Debbie a bit of rain then sunny
FINALLY we caught a FISH on the way to Cape Townsend. This is Greg’s way of bleeding the fish. Cut his neck, tie a rope around his tail and drag him along for a while.
A beautiful Spotted Mackeral, not too big just perfect for 2 dinners
A Happy Skipper, it’s been a long long time since we caught one. Not since the way up
Now we feel we’re really heading home. Got a lot of southward bound sailing in today. Eventhough we were sailing to windward in SE. Skipper said he didn’t want to do that again BUT I thought it was fine. Only had to hove to once as a rope got caught in the zipper of the boom cover. Easy fixed!
What a difference a day makes though, no wind then a quick rain scrawl, then sunny, up to 27 knots of wind, lovely sailing at up to 8.3 knots. Easy peasy for Volare, the Coursemaster windvane sailed us all the way anyway.
Anchored at Port Clinton, lovely and peaceful, OFF to Keppel Island tomorrow for a few days. Then Rosslyn Bay Marina, Yeppon.
